mongkod was founded in 2018 by consultants who recognized a gap in Thailand's business advisory landscape. Many firms offered either highly theoretical frameworks disconnected from operational reality, or purely tactical support that failed to address underlying organizational challenges. We sought to create a practice that bridged this divide.
Our name references King Mongkut, Thailand's 19th-century monarch known for modernizing the kingdom while respecting its cultural foundations. This balance — embracing progress without abandoning context — remains central to our approach. We work with organizations that want to evolve their capabilities in measured, sustainable ways.
Based in Hat Yai, we serve clients across southern Thailand and throughout ASEAN markets. Our consultants bring experience from both multinational corporations and regional enterprises, giving us perspective on how global business practices can be adapted to local contexts. We understand that what works in Bangkok may need adjustment for Songkhla, and what succeeds in Singapore may require modification for Chiang Mai.
Rather than positioning ourselves as external experts delivering solutions, we see our role as facilitators who help organizations clarify their challenges, evaluate options, and build internal capabilities.
